Genus: Lycopodiella — bog clubmoss
This genus has sporophylls grouped in a stalked, terminal strobilus (compare with Huperzia). Species of Lycopodiella hybridize more frequently than other clubmosses in the region. Sporophyll orientation is a very important character, but it cannot be assessed until late summer. Reference: Bruce (1975).
