Location notes: Connecticut River Floodplain - terrestrial (upland, non-aquatic habitat) - wetlands (land areas with soil that is saturated with water either permanently or seasonally) - Fern - Northern Lady Fern

Comments: Leaf blade is twice compound (divided into leaflets, which are further divided into leaflets) - Leaves grow from a rhizome growing at or below the ground - Spore-bearing fronds are similar in size and shape to the sterile fronds - Sori are long and narrow, and curved - Sori are long and narrow, and straight - Leaf stalk has scales - Veins go all the way to the edge of the leaf blade
