Sighting: red maple at Amherst, MA

by Student43 on October 31 2013

Comments: This was the most appealing and clearest picture I took of a red maple tree; characteristics are deciduous, opposite leaves, and simple leaves (not entire margin); National Audubon Society's "Familiar Trees of North America East" says, "...the most brilliant display of color comes in fall when the leaves turn a fiery scarlet."
