Location notes: Notch Visitor Center and Trolley Line - terrestrial (upland, non-aquatic habitat) - Woody plants (tree, shrub, sub-shrub, and liana) - Princess Pine
Comments: Vegetative leaves are short and scale-like - Sporophylls located on spore cones at the tips of the shoots or branches - Plant has an upright stem, branches, branches having further branches - Horizontal stem is under ground - Vegetative leaves within a node differ in size and shape - Edges of the vegetative leaves have no teeth - Spore leaf length: 3–4.1 mm - Vegetative leaves are long and very narrow (linear)
