Location notes: Rainbow Beach Conservation Area - Northampton - MA 01060 - terrestrial (upland, non-aquatic habitat)/ wetlands (land areas with soil that is saturated with water either permanently or seasonally) - Woody plant (tree, shrub, sub-shrub, and liana) - Silky Dogwood

Comments: Plant is a shrub (a woody plant with several stems growing from the base) - Leaf blade is simple (lobed or unlobed but not separated into leaflets) - Two leaves per node along the stem - Edge of the leaf blade has no teeth or lobes - Plant does not have spines, prickles, or thorns - Leaf blade length: 60–120 mm - Leaf blade width: 30–80 mm - The leaves have leaf stalks - Fruit is fleshy
