Facts

Cut-leaved windflower is a very rare native of high-pH river shore outcrops in Maine and Vermont. In these habitats, this plant roots in shallow crevices in the slaty ledges, and its leaves, flowers, and growth form are very delicate. Elsewhere in its range, it can grow quite tall and vigorous. Its equally variable flowers range from white to salmon to pink.
