Facts
Boreal bog sedge has a bipolar disjunt distribution, meaning that our subspecies (Carex magellanica ssp. irrigua) inhabits northern temperate regions, while another subspecies (C. magellanica ssp. magellanica) occurs in the cool, temperate regions of South America.
