Facts

Lesser periwinkle is native to Europe and western Asia, and widely introduced around the world. It is also widepread in North America, and is quite invasive in some areas including parts of New England. It is often grown as an ornamental ground cover due to its ability to form dense colonies. It spreads vegetatively by underground runners or re-rooting leaf nodes.
